I think that of all my work, I count this little painting as one of my best. It is the most daring in its colors. But the colors do work with each other, giving it in all a really good impression of the beautiful forest that I often wander in (and I'm sure that Van Gogh did the same as this forest was also closest to his home town Etten-Leur).
